Coach,

We have identified your team as an outstanding track & field program. This
letter is to signify our interest in your athletes and to share the exciting
opportunities that await them at Wheaton College. We actively recruit student-
athletes who are committed to excellence in their academic and athletic
careers.

Hello There,

I graduated from Regional in 1986 and I stumbled upon your Track and
Field site this morning. A few months ago, I put up an Alumni site to be
able to catch up with old friends, plan our upcoming reunion and provide
a forum for all Regional grads to be able to do the same thing (without
having to pay money to those stupid classmates.com type sites). Our site
is at http://www.RegionalGrads.com

I just wanted to let you know that our site was there. I know it's a
good long while before track starts back up next spring, but when it
does - it'd be great if you or one of your students would pop in to let
us know your schedule for 2004 (and subsequent years). I'm finding that
50% or better of the few people who are already there still live close
enough to the area to be able to maybe stop by for a meet or two.

Our Alumni site is still new and there are only aout 30 people who've
created profiles so far (but there are far more who have popped in and
looked around without registering). I don't know where we're going to go
with the site, but I'd like to see us, over time, begin to develop a
relationship with the High School to help promote athletic events,
school plays, choral/band concerts, and so on. In the meantime, though,
please do remember us next Spring and let any other athletics coaches
and directors know that we exist.

And, if you have ideas for how we can start to develop a two directional
relationship between the Alumni and the Athletic Department (or just
your team, for now), please let me know. I'm a web application developer
by trade, so I can also help out in automating and simplifying the ways
that you currently publish and promote your activities on the web. Sorry
I don't have any concrete ideas at this time, but I've had terrible luck
getting ahold of people via e-mail to discuss opportunities (probably
because it's summertime?) to start building a nice relationship between
our growing alumni group and the current goings-on at Regional 7.

Regardless, I've put a link up to your site on our page, so if nothing
else, it will hopefully bring a few extra people to a meet or two next
season!
